Terms and conditions
Last updated 22 October 2026. By signing in to and using CapPaste you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Using CapPaste
- CapPaste is a browser-based video and audio editor. You need a Google account to sign in and an internet connection to sign in and export.
- Keep your Google account secure; you are responsible for what is done with your CapPaste account.
- Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around its security, limits or the CapPaste icon on exports other than with the option provided.
Your content
- You own what you create. Your media and exports stay yours; CapPaste claims no ownership of them.
- You are responsible for your content and must have the rights to the media, music, fonts and images you use.
- Content must not include hate speech, harassment or threats, sexual or adult content, content that exploits or endangers children, violence or illegal activity, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights. You confirm this before every export.
- You allow CapPaste to store the project copies, preview images, content review frames and audio samples described in the Privacy policy, only to run and protect the service.
- Content review: frames of videos you add, and a short sample of each audio export, may be reviewed by the administrator. If they show adult content, exporting is disabled for your account. You can keep editing; if you think it is a mistake, use Contact us.
The service
- The CapPaste app, name, logo and design belong to CapPaste. The bundled fonts and AI models are used under their own open licences.
- Exports include a small CapPaste icon for the last 2 seconds unless you tick Remove the CapPaste icon.
- Features may change, and the service may be paused or stopped. We may disable exports for, or suspend, accounts that break these terms.
- Keep your own copies of projects and media: CapPaste does not back up your media files.
Disclaimers and liability
- CapPaste is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it is error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. AI results (captions, voice isolation and so on) may be inaccurate.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, CapPaste is not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
- We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use CapPaste after a change means you accept the new terms.
